Front Left Transverse Link (Control Arm) for Stable Steering
This left-hand front suspension link keeps your wheel aligned with the chassis, locking in precise steering and safe braking. It connects the subframe to the steering knuckle, using heavy-duty bushings and a sealed ball joint to manage camber/toe and damp road vibration ️. A quality replacement restores quiet ride, straight tracking, and even tire wear—exactly what a daily-driven sedan needs.
How it works ⚙️
Two rubber bushings mount the arm to the cradle; the ball joint seats in the knuckle. As the wheel moves, the arm guides it through a controlled arc, absorbing bumps and keeping the tire’s contact patch flat . This preserves geometry under load, so the car stays planted in corners and under hard braking.
What happens if it’s worn or broken ⚠️
- Clunking over bumps, steering shimmy, or vehicle drift
- Uneven tire wear and alignment that will not hold
- Longer braking distances, ABS/traction lights may appear
- Severe play or joint separation can cause loss of control—replace immediately
Tech notes
- Direct-fit LH (driver side),front; OE-style bushings and sealed ball joint
- Torque all fasteners at normal ride height
- Perform a 4-wheel alignment after installation
- Consider replacing both sides for balanced handling
Compatibility
- Altima
- Maxima
