Windshield Rest Cradle Assembly (Front Cowl Support) ️

This body mounting bracket is fitted at the base of the windshield area to support and locate the lower glass/cowl zone. It is needed to keep the windshield resting point steady, so the glass, seal, and surrounding trim stay aligned even on rough roads.

The cradle forms a firm seating point that helps distribute vibration and body flex. It holds the lower edge area in the correct position, reducing stress on the urethane/seal line and preventing the cowl panel from shifting. A solid rest point also helps keep wiper-cowl gaps consistent and minimizes squeaks.

If this support is cracked, bent, or corroded, the windshield base can lose stability. That may lead to annoying rattles, uneven panel gaps, water leaks during rain or washes, and faster wear of seals. In severe cases, glass stress can increase, raising the risk of cracks after bumps or temperature changes.
