Why this part matters

Accurate air measurement is the heart of clean, strong combustion. This mass air flow sensor tells the engine control unit exactly how much air enters the intake, so fuel, ignition, and emissions systems stay in sync. Expect smooth idle, sharp throttle, better fuel economy, and protected catalytic converters.

How it works ⚙️

Inside sits a hot-film element plus an air temperature thermistor. Incoming air cools the film; the circuit adds current to hold a steady temperature. That current change becomes a voltage signal proportional to true air mass. The ECU uses it to set injector pulse for every rpm, load, and altitude.

When it fails

Dirt and oil vapors glaze the sensor, skewing readings. Symptoms: hard starts, rough idle, hesitation, poor power, black smoke, high fuel use, and a Check Engine light (often P0100–P0104). Long-term, catalysts and O2 sensors can suffer.

Plug-and-play fit, OE-style connector, sealed housing, stable calibration. Install downstream of a clean air filter, arrow toward engine. Do not touch the element—use only MAF-safe cleaner if needed.
