Ignition Coil with Integrated Igniter — Direct-Fit, OE-Spec ⚡

Why this part is needed

This coil-on-plug unit delivers a strong, clean spark for quick starts, smooth idle, and efficient fuel burn. The integrated igniter (driver) precisely controls dwell and timing, improving power, economy, and emissions while resisting heat and vibration under the hood.

How it works

The ECU sends a low-voltage signal to the igniter. The primary winding charges, then the magnetic field collapses, inducing 20–40 kV in the secondary winding. That high voltage jumps the spark plug gap and ignites the air-fuel mix. Epoxy potting, copper windings, and a silicone boot keep output stable in harsh conditions.

What happens if it fails

Expect hard starts, rough idle, hesitation, loss of power, higher fuel use, and a Check Engine light. Common codes: P0300–P030X, P035X. Prolonged misfire can overheat the catalytic converter. If the housing cracks or the driver shorts, the cylinder may go dead or the engine may stall intermittently.

Tech tips ️

  • Replace coils in pairs if mileage is high
  • Check plug gap and oil in plug wells
  • Seat the boot fully; use dielectric grease
