Why you need it

It centers the leaf spring on the hanger, maintains correct pinion angle, and resists side-shift under load. The result is straighter tracking, better braking stability, reduced tire wear, and fewer rattles.

How it works ⚙️

A durable elastomer body with a bonded steel inner sleeve is pressed into the spring eye. The mounting bolt rides in that sleeve. As the suspension moves, the bushing twists in shear, allowing controlled articulation while blocking metal-to-metal contact and killing vibration.

When worn or broken ⚠️

Expect clunks over bumps, rear-end wander, squeaks, harsh vibration, uneven tire wear, and longer stopping distances. Ignored too long, the spring eye can oval out, shackles and bolts can score, and corrosion accelerates.

Install tips

Press in/out with proper tooling—no hammering. Clean bores, align correctly, torque bolts at normal ride height, and replace in pairs. Inspect shackles, U-bolts, and spring pads while you’re there.
