Steering Column Lock & Ignition Barrel Set for Nissan Pickups

This assembly restores secure starting and safe parking. It locks the steering wheel when the key is out, deters theft, and replaces a worn key barrel that sticks, wobbles, or fails to send a clean start signal. Built to OEM geometry, it keeps your column tight and your ignition reliable.

Why you need it

Common symptoms are hard turning of the key, random no-crank, key stuck in ACC, or a steering wheel that won’t unlock smoothly. Replacing the set prevents roadside delays and protects the vehicle from unauthorized use.

How it works

The key moves precision tumblers, releasing a pawl that frees the column. At ON/START, the switch path closes to power the starter circuit. When you remove the key, a hardened bolt engages the column to lock it. Matched keys ensure exact alignment and crisp detents.

What happens if it’s broken

You may get intermittent no-start, a free-spinning key, or a wheel that stays locked after parking. Security is reduced, and a loose housing can cause play in the column. Prolonged use can damage the switch and shear bolts.

Die-cast zinc body, anti-pick tumblers, corrosion-resistant finish, two coded keys. Bolt-on fit; remove shear bolts, align switch, verify ACC/ON/START. Use dry graphite only—no grease in the cylinder.
