Radiator Cooling Fan Control Module (ECU) for Toyota

This smart controller manages the electric radiator fans so your engine and A/C stay in the safe temperature zone. Built to OE spec, it talks to the engine ECU and A/C system to deliver the exact fan speed needed, reducing noise, load, and wear.

Why you need it ❄️

Engines run hottest at idle and in traffic. The module ramps fan speed based on coolant temperature and A/C pressure. That keeps coolant, condenser, and under-hood temps stable, protecting gaskets, sensors, and transmission cooler circuits.

How it works ⚙️

It receives inputs from coolant temp and A/C pressure via ECU/CAN, then outputs PWM or controlled power to the fan motor(s) or relays. The unit modulates duty cycle for low/medium/high speeds and includes thermal and overcurrent protection to prevent motor or wiring damage.

What happens if it fails

Common signs: fans don’t run or run full blast, weak A/C at idle, overheating in traffic, blown fan fuses, battery drain, and DTCs P0480–P0483. Prolonged faults risk warped head, failed head gasket, and damaged radiator or condenser.

Tech tips

Inspect fan motor current draw, grounds, and connectors for heat damage. Mount the unit on a clean metal surface for heat sinking. Use dielectric grease on plugs, clear codes, and verify fan steps with a scan tool.
