How it works ⚙️

Two glass layers bonded by a PVB interlayer form laminated safety glass. If struck, the outer sheet cracks but stays bonded, maintaining visibility. The blacked‑out edge provides a clean urethane bond to the body frame, ensuring rigidity and leak‑free sealing.

If it’s damaged ⚠️

Cracks spread, night glare increases, wipers chatter, wind noise and water leaks appear, and body stiffness drops. In a collision, a poor or cracked screen can misguide airbag deployment and invite rust at the pinch weld.

Fitment & tips

Always use premium urethane and primer on a clean pinch weld. After install, allow cure time; check molding seating and washer spray path.
