This in-tank fuel pump module feeds clean fuel from the tank to the engine at the correct pressure. It is needed to keep starting, idling, and acceleration stable, especially under load or cold starts. The built-in filter helps trap fine particles before they reach injectors, reducing wear and protecting spray pattern.

How It Works ?

An electric motor spins an impeller that draws fuel through a pickup sock and filtering media, then pushes it into the fuel line. Consistent flow allows the ECU to control air-fuel ratio accurately, improving throttle response and keeping combustion smooth.

When It Fails ?

A weak or clogged unit may cause long cranking, hesitation, misfires, power loss on hills, random stalling, and a louder-than-normal whine from the tank. If it stops completely, the engine may crank but not start, and running lean can overheat injectors and damage the catalytic converter.
