How it works ⚙️

The pan bolts to the transmission case with a formed flange and gasket. ATF returns to the pan where the pickup and filter sit above the magnet. The ribbed shell dissipates heat, while the drain plug lets you measure and set ATF level during service.

What happens if it’s damaged ❗

Dents, warped flange, or a torn gasket cause leaks, burnt ATF smell, slipping or harsh shifts, and overheating. Low fluid starves the pump, scoring the valve body and clutches. Stripped plug threads can dump ATF suddenly and lead to catastrophic failure.

Installation tips

Clean mating surfaces, replace gasket/washer, torque bolts in a crisscross pattern to spec, and fill only the correct ATF. Warm up, cycle gears, verify level, and recheck for seepage around the flange and plug. ♻️ Dispose of used fluid responsibly.
