Clutch Release Fork Support Bracket ️

This small but critical clutch hardware piece holds the release fork in the correct position inside the bell housing. It is needed to keep the fork stable while you press the clutch pedal, so the release bearing can push evenly against the pressure plate fingers. Without solid support, clutch action becomes rough, noisy, and unreliable.

How it works ⚙️

When the pedal is pressed, the clutch fork pivots and transfers force to the release bearing. This support point acts like a guide and anchor, controlling fork movement and keeping the geometry correct. Proper alignment reduces friction, keeps pedal feel smooth, and helps prevent early wear of the bearing and pressure plate.

Signs of failure & what happens if broken

If the support wears or cracks, the fork can wobble or sit off-center. You may notice squeaks, grinding, clutch chatter, hard shifting, or a pedal that feels heavy or inconsistent. In severe cases the clutch may not disengage fully, leading to gear clash, damaged synchros, and possible roadside no-shift condition.
