How it works

The ECU pulses the primary winding; when the field collapses, the secondary winding generates 20–40 kV and fires the spark plug. The plug-top design sits directly on the plug, cutting energy loss. A silicone boot seals out moisture, and epoxy potting resists heat and vibration. RF suppression keeps sensors and radio noise-free.

What happens if it fails

Tech notes

• Direct-fit, no programming; swap with suspect cylinder to confirm fault.
