Engine Coolant Water Outlet Housing ?

This cooling-system outlet is the connection point where hot coolant leaves the engine and heads to the radiator or heater circuit. How It Works ⚙️

Coolant circulates through the engine block, absorbs heat, then exits through this outlet. The housing guides the flow into the upper hose path and helps maintain pressure in the cooling system. When the thermostat opens, coolant movement increases, and this outlet becomes a main route for heat to leave the engine.

If It’s Broken or Leaking ?

Cracks, warped sealing faces, or corroded ports can cause coolant loss and air entry. That may lead to overheating, weak heater output, temperature spikes, and in severe cases head gasket damage. Common signs include coolant smell, wetness around the outlet, and frequent top-ups.
