Front Left ABS Wheel Speed Sensor ?

This ABS speed sensor is a critical safety part that reads the rotation speed of the front left wheel. Your ABS, traction control, and stability systems depend on this signal to prevent wheel lock-up during hard braking and to keep the vehicle stable on slippery roads.

Why this part is needed βœ…

Modern Mitsubishi brake systems must know exactly when a wheel starts to slow faster than the others. The sensor provides real-time wheel speed data so the ABS module can react instantly and maintain steering control while braking.

How it works βš™οΈ

The sensor sits near a tone ring (reluctor). As the wheel turns, the ring creates a changing magnetic field. The sensor converts this into an electrical pulse signal. The ABS unit compares all wheel signals and, if it detects slip, it pulses brake pressure to that wheel in milliseconds.

What happens if it’s broken ?

A failed sensor may trigger the ABS light, disable ABS/traction functions, cause erratic ABS activation, or lead to longer stopping distance on wet or icy surfaces. In some cases, the speedometer or regenerative braking behavior can be affected depending on the system design.
