Clutch Release Lever β Smooth, Reliable Shifts βοΈ
This precision release lever ensures clean clutch disengagement and crisp gear changes. Built to OEM geometry for the vehicles below, it restores consistent pedal feel and protects your manual transmission.
Why you need it ?
The lever transmits pedal force to the throwout bearing, separating the clutch from the flywheel. A healthy lever prevents gear grind, reduces pressure plate wear, and keeps take-off smooth in traffic.
How it works ?
Press the pedal and the cable or hydraulics move the slave pushrod. The lever pivots on its ball stud and pushes the bearing into the diaphragm spring, disengaging the clutch. Hardened tips and correct angles spread the load evenly, cutting friction and chatter for silent, fast shifts.
If itβs worn or broken β
Expect hard gear engagement, crunch into reverse, clutch drag at lights, or a pedal thatβs suddenly soft or extra stiff. You may hear squeaks, rattles, or feel vibration from the bellhousing. Continued driving can burn synchros, overheat the clutch, or leave you with no drive. Inspect for cracked pivot socket and worn fingers; replace lever, clip, and bearing together. Lightly grease the pivot with highβtemp moly and set free play to spec for long service life. β
