How it works ⛓️
A spring-loaded, oil-fed piston pushes on the chain guide to remove slack. As oil pressure rises, the piston locks in the right position and auto-compensates for wear and heat. A check valve helps hold pressure after shutdown, reducing start-up rattle and keeping timing accurate.
What happens if it’s bad ⚠️
Cold-start rattle, rough idle, hesitation, poor power, and a flashing check engine light are common. Left unchecked, the chain can jump a tooth, causing misfires, bent valves, or full engine failure. Replace at the first signs of noise or timing errors to avoid major damage.
Fitment and quality ️
OE-grade build, heat-treated body, and leak-resistant seals. For best results: install with fresh oil, new gasket, correct torque, and pre-prime the adjuster with clean oil before first start.
