Premium Oxygen/Lambda Sensor for Toyota Sedan Line βœ…

This OE-grade O2 sensor keeps your engine in closed-loop control, balancing fuel and air for clean power and low consumption. It helps protect the catalytic converter, cuts emissions, and keeps the check engine light off. A healthy sensor means smooth throttle, stable idle, and better mileage β›½.

Why your car needs it βš™οΈ

The engine computer relies on this sensor to fine-tune mixture hundreds of times per second. Without accurate feedback, the system runs rich or lean, wasting fuel and stressing exhaust components.

How it works

A zirconia sensing cell compares oxygen in exhaust to outside air and switches voltage (about 0.1–0.9 V). The built-in heater brings it up to temperature fast, so closed-loop starts sooner. The ECU then adjusts short- and long-term fuel trims to keep the catalytic converter efficient ♻️.

When it fails

  • Higher fuel use and smoky exhaust
  • Rough idle, hesitation, poor cold drive
  • Rotten-egg smell, overheated catalyst
  • Emissions test fail
  • Check engine light, O2/heater codes

Tech tips

Replace aging sensors proactively (often near 100,000 km). Do not touch the tip; keep anti-seize off the vent. Torque to spec (about 35–45 NΒ·m), secure the harness, check for exhaust leaks, clear codes, and perform a short drive cycle.
