Control Lever Rubber Boot Seal ️

Why you need it

This rubber boot seals the opening where the shift/control lever passes through the floor tunnel. It blocks dust, water, fumes, and road noise from entering the cabin, and shields the lever pivot from grit. A healthy boot keeps shifting smooth, protects the linkage, and improves comfort on and off road .

How it works

The boot is a flexible elastomer cone with an inner lip that hugs the lever and an outer rim that locks into the tunnel or plate. As you move the lever, the boot flexes, maintaining a tight seal. Its ribs absorb vibration, reduce heat transfer, and act as a dirt barrier for the control housing βš™οΈ.

What happens if it’s broken

Cracks or tears let mud, sand, and water reach the lever seat. Expect stiff or notchy shifts, rattles, and corrosion over time. Cabin may get hot, smelly, and noisy; in wet trails, moisture can contaminate grease and speed wear of bushings and detents. Left unchecked, it can lead to costly linkage and transmission repairs.

Fit & install tips

OE-grade rubber, ozone and oil resistant. Direct-fit on the factory plate. Clean the groove, add a light film of silicone grease, seat the rim evenly, and confirm the clamp or ring is secure.
