Engine Coolant Overflow Inlet Hose 🚗💧
This molded coolant hose guides excess antifreeze from the radiator neck to the coolant reservoir. It’s a small part, but it plays a big role in keeping the cooling system stable when temperature and pressure rise during driving.
Why this hose is needed
As the engine heats up, coolant expands and system pressure increases. The overflow path lets extra coolant move into the reservoir instead of forcing leaks at caps, joints, or radiator seams.
How it works
When pressure reaches the radiator cap valve point, coolant is pushed through this hose into the tank. After the engine cools, vacuum draws coolant back, helping keep the radiator topped up and reducing air pockets.
What happens if it’s damaged ⚠️
- Coolant smell, wet marks near the cap or reservoir
- Low coolant level and frequent topping up

Installation notes
