Why you need it

This clamp locks the universal joint bearing caps to the differential or transfer case yoke. It keeps the propshaft centered, transfers torque without slip, and stops play that creates noise and wear. On lifted or off‑road vehicles, a solid retainer is critical to handle shock loads and vibration.

How it works

The shaped steel strap hugs the U‑joint cap. When you tighten the two bolts, it applies even pressure across the cap and seats it firmly in the yoke.
