Ignition Coil Rubber Boot for Reliable Spark β‘
Keep your Mitsubishi engine firing clean with a fresh coil boot. This small but vital insulator links the coil to the spark plug, guides high voltage to the plug tip, and seals the plug well from dust, oil, and moisture. A healthy boot protects against voltage leaks, stops arc tracking, and stabilizes idle, power, and fuel economy. Perfect for restoring smooth starts and crisp throttle response .
Why this part is needed
It prevents spark loss, seals the plug tube, and cushions the spring contact. That means fewer misfires, better mpg, and longer life for coils and plugs.
How it works
The boot is a heatβresistant dielectric sleeve (EPDM/silicone). Inside, a conductor spring presses onto the plug terminal. The boot funnels high voltage from the coil to the plug, while its outer lip seals the tube so water and oil cannot short the spark. Simple, tough, and effective οΈ.
What happens if itβs bad
- Rough idle, hesitation, or hard starts
- Misfire under load, flashing MIL (P0300βP030x)
- Poor fuel economy and weak acceleration
- Carbon tracking, burn marks, or cracked rubber
- Moisture in plug wells, premature coil failure
