Engine Control Sensor for Stable Hybrid Performance βš™οΈ

This engine control sensor is a key feedback device used by the ECU to keep combustion timing, fuel delivery, and hybrid assist behavior running in balance. On a PHEV, clean and accurate sensor signals matter even more because the system constantly switches between engine load states.

Why This Part Is Needed βœ…

The ECU cannot β€œguess” correctly without real data. This sensor supplies a precise reference signal so the control unit can adjust engine operation smoothly, reduce hesitation, and help maintain emissions targets.

How It Works ?

It reads engine operating conditions (signal voltage/resistance changes) and sends that information to the ECU. The ECU then fine-tunes injector pulse, ignition timing, and idle control to match demand, temperature, and load.

What Happens If It’s Broken ❌

A failing sensor may cause rough idle, weak acceleration, increased fuel use, hard starting, warning lights, and limp-mode behavior. In some cases the engine may stall or the hybrid system may limit power to protect components.
