Engine Temperature Sensor for Suzuki
This small probe reads engine warmth and feeds precise data to the ECU. With correct temperature info, the car starts cleanly, saves fuel, runs smooth, and keeps emissions low. It also helps protect the motor by cueing the radiator fan and adjusting idle during warmβup οΈ.
Why itβs needed
Cold starts, fuel mix, ignition timing, fan control, and dash readings all rely on this sensor. Accurate values mean stable idle, strong drivability, and long engine life.
How it works
Inside is an NTC thermistor bathed in coolant. As temperature rises, resistance drops. The ECU measures the signal voltage and calculates engine temperature, then trims fuel and spark and switches the fan as required.
What if it fails β οΈ
Hard starting, rough idle, poor economy, rich smoke or lean stumble, weak heater, late/early fan, and a Check Engine light (codes like P0115βP0119). Severe faults may risk overheating or catalyst damage.
Tech tips
Replace on a cold engine. Use a deep socket, renew the seal, torque correctly, refill with premixed coolant, bleed air, and clear ECU codes.
