Rear Engine Mount Insulator for Toyota – Smooth, Quiet, Secure

This rear motor mount supports the powertrain at the back of the engine/transaxle. It isolates vibration, keeps the engine at the correct angle, and prevents harsh knocks from reaching the cabin. Built to OEM-grade specs, it’s a direct-fit replacement for many Toyota models and restores factory ride comfort.

Why this part is needed

Without a healthy rear mount, torque movement twists the drivetrain, stressing hoses, wiring, and exhaust. The mount stabilizes launches, shifts, and braking, reducing NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) and protecting surrounding parts.

How it works

A high-durometer rubber (or fluid-damped) core is bonded to steel brackets. It bolts to the subframe and transmission, absorbing engine shake in all directions while allowing controlled flex. The tuned rubber voids disperse impacts from starts, stops, and rough roads.

What happens if it’s broken

Expect strong vibration at idle, clunks on acceleration or when shifting, steering wheel shake, and misaligned driveline angles. Prolonged use can crack exhaust flex joints, loosen fasteners, and wear side mounts prematurely.

Tech notes & install tips

Support the engine before removal. Torque fasteners at ride height to prevent preload. Replace oil-soaked mounts and any stretched hardware. Inspect companion mounts for tears. Typical service life is 5–10 years, shorter if exposed to fluid leaks.
